A 2D fighter rather than an arena brawler, Shin Budokai runs at a high frame rate with hand-drawn-looking sprites over 3D backgrounds. Its Z Trial and story modes are built around short matches, and ad hoc versus play made it one of the PSP's most traded UMDs.
